Dover 2025 Municipal Election - Seeking Your Support

Municipal filing period is again here for the City of Dover. Tomorrow I will put forward my name as an At-Large candidate in hopes that I have earned your trust to continue representing your voices in City Council discussions.

Our community has grown and changed in the past eight years, facing local, regional, national, and global challenges and opportunities. When I first ran for office in 2017, I don't think I could have ever imagined the range of topics we've discussed and debated but I have learned so much about the views and values across this community during that time.

It has been an honor to serve in this role.

I recognize that we may not always agree but I deeply value the opportunity for discussion and to represent the range of different perspectives that make up this community.

While the work is never done, I am proud of the efforts Council has undertaken to continue to work more collaboratively with the School Board to support the next generation, step out as a leader in the ongoing efforts to increase housing options while maintaining a balance with land conservation, move Dover forward as a leader in sustainability and natural resource management, and support a growing and thriving small business community here.

I hope to earn your support to continue to serve as one of the two At Large members of City Council as I feel there is more that I can do over the next two years to bring your voices into Council decisions and continue to balance the needs of the present with plans for Dover’s future.

I hope to continue to help our City move economic and environmental sustainability and resilience forward, provide opportunities for all our residents to see themselves in the future of this City, and while my children are now further along in their public school experience here in Dover, I hope to continue representing the voices of young families in our community. I pledge to continue bringing attention to the issues members of our community have raised with me time and again - economy, education, environment, and accessibility. While we may not always agree, I am committed to continuing to listen and learn from all our residents to build a future for everyone in our city.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or if there are topics you’d like to discuss (lindseyfordover@gmail.com or 603-534-2119).
